    <desc>My server, nyx, required a DIMM transplant after I discovered
    that its memory was faulty.  I took photos illustrating the
    procedure, which was carried out on August 13, 2006.</desc>

        the heatsinks surrounding the HDD at the bottom left. There's no
        power supply unit; instead, DC power is supplied from an external
        PSU.

      pass. No errors! See that nyx's CPU is a VIA Samuel; all VIA's
      recent-ish CPUs have had Biblical names.</desc>

      <p>Still running Debian, only now with the
      <a href="http://gnome.org/">GNOME</a>
      desktop environment.  The orange theme is one I
      <a href="http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=49159">cooked
      up myself</a>
      by modifying the theme used by default in the
      <a href="http://ubuntu.com/">Ubuntu</a>
      Linux distribution.  Though chryseis doesn't run Ubuntu,
      I do like their artwork.</p>

      <desc><![CDATA[chryseis' desktop on September 2, 2006.</p>
        <p>The operating system is
        <a href='http://debian.org/'>Debian GNU/Linux</a>.  The window
        manager is a prerelease of
        <a href='http://get-e.org/'>Enlightenment DR17</a>.  As well as
        managing the windows, Enlightenment also handles most of the
        applets at the bottom of the screen, except for the mailbox
        applet; that's <a href='http://gnubiff.sf.net/'>gnubiff</a>.
        The chat client at the top left is
        <a href='http://gaim.sf.net/'>Gaim</a>; the media player at
        the top right is
        <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audacious_Media_Player'>Audacious</a>,
        the browser is
        <a href='http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/'>Firefox</a>,
        and the pseudo-translucent xterms are
        <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME_Terminal'>gnome-terminal</a>s.</p>
        <p>(This is a rather large picture; you'll have to be a bit patient
        while nyx serves it to you!)
